HikingGreat!

This is my favorite trail in the Musquash Conservation area. The trail is well marked and well maintained traversing a variety of terrain, from flat and easy to small rocky inclines. No section is more than a moderate hike, and overall I would rate it as easy. The western section passed porcupine rock and follows along a portion of the swamp.

HikingGreat!

One of the best marked trails I've ever seen! Hike is a pleasant walk through the woods, although not much remarkable to look at, other than some marshes along the way. Not sure why this is marked as "moderate" when it was actually quite easy.

Trail was very peaceful and I love that it felt like you were wandering around in a forest. The trail was overgrown a bit but that kept it from being overcrowded. It wasn’t buggy at all and had a place to set down and eat in the woods.

The trail itself was good, but as it intertwined with several others, it was difficult at times to understand which way to go. We went in early April and there were sections in the first stretch of trail (and last...) with deep mud and water. The hike did offer interesting terrain with real nice forest views, however. Glad that we went, but will not rush back. If we do go, we will wait for dry season.

This was a great trail for getting cardio going. Didn’t really see any marks on the trail till half way through, but it was really nice just the same.

First to Review

so this was an interesting trail, lots of cool stuff to see! you go from starting out walking through a narrow trail with some tall foliage and wildflowers and plenty of sunlight then you make your way into a shady forest that goes from dark areas with thick cover to areas where the trees are so sparse you can see deep into the forest. I went at dusk so the trail felt very ominous, you can hear lots of critters rustling around. there are lots of enchanting bogs to see and I bypassed part of the loop and took overlook pass and it lead to a very pretty view of the sunset over some trees! In doing this however I skipped part of the trail that I'm sure has a very pretty view of the wetlands. and to my surprise if wasn't to buggy, I didn't even need spray! I passed by some people doing fat tire mountain biking so I guess it's a popular trail for this as well :) the dog loved it!!
