if you want a workout Bald Knob trail is definitely one of those. Straight up the entire way, got up in about 40 minutes and took us about 20 to get down. Good sunset hike

Not a lot to like on this one. straight up back-breaker. muddy. first view-point about 80% of the way up. many better ones on that side of the lake. we prefer longer hikes with interludes of level areas. Mt Roberts is 5.0 miles out-and-back and far more enjoyable, the same vertical climb, and nearly the same view. So in summary - not a fan

Steep, but relatively short compared to taking the carriage rd. We did it for a sunset hike and it was amazing. The views were amazing. Made it up in about an hour and down in about the same just because it was dark and very rocky.

Trail was very hard to follow on the way up and slightly hard to follow on the way down. Beautiful view though!

Decent roadside parking, fun trail passing through maple grove before ascending quickly next to little streams and waterfalls. Lovely view. Connects to many other Ossipee trails

A very short STEEP climb with lots of loose rocks and need for hand holds. Very buggy today, spray would have been a good idea. We did this today with a 5 and 2 yo who needed help most of the way. Views were gorgeous, nice pay off for 1200’ of elevation in 1 mile!

Really took my time and forgot to stop the recording- you could summit this in an hour if you’re in decent shape. My dog and I had fun- lots of folks and dogs on Sunday afternoon

Took the Cutoff trail on the way up, and this down. Very steep and rocky, with only one lookout just before the summit. Other than the top which provides fantastic views west and southwest across Lake Winnipesaukee, I found the rest of the trail more a workout than picturesque hike.

The Bald Knob cutoff trail is much nicer than this one. This trail is extremely steep which I did note from the map but wanted to test it out anyway. There is one nice view point before the actual viewpoint at the summit. In addition this trail is not marked as well as it should be. You can get an even nicer hike from the Bald Knob cutoff trail. It’s longer but not as steep and you get the same view because it also leads you to the summit of Bald Knob.

Beautiful views, pretty streams near the trail, but TERRIBLE bugs. Do NOT go in late May— if you do, bring copious amounts of bug spray. I will definitely hike again, just later in the season.
