One of the best views for a shorter trail. Would recommended adding on Bald Mtn at the end when you loop back. Trail was steady with people but not overly busy. If you add on the Bald Mtn trail you will have to scramble a bit but worth it for the view at the top. Lots of parking at the trailhead too.

Great trail for a short hike after work. Nice views from the bluff, and also recommend taking the trail up Bald Mountain that branches off the loop - it’s very quick the views are stunning!

Stunning view of Echo Lake and the Franconia Notch. It was the perfect place to social distance. I feel like this view is even better in the summer and fall months. I did think the hike was pretty short so if you are looking for a longer adventure, this is not it.

Great views from the top! It is pretty steep so it was good to have on hiking boots. The top of the trial towards bald mountain still had some snow.

One of the best views you could get for such a short hike. Walking was a bit difficult amidst all the snow but who cares if the views are so mesmerising? The lake looked beautiful from up there and the mountains still clad with snows. We were expecting light traffic but there were none today (mother’s day may be).

Amazing trail! It was marked well. The trail was covered with snow when we got there. Overall trail wasn’t difficult, but the snow added some difficulties making it slippery. But it’s rocky for sure. Get some waterproof shoes, but in coming weeks snow should be melted due to warm weather, so gear up accordingly. The view is to die for. No any camera would do justice, so get up, hike and see yourselves.

Short hike to an amazing view despite the season. Be mindful of steep/rocky areas. Def a hike you can do several times a year. -artist bluff-

Little muddy and icy as of the end of April 2020. But a great hike. You can split off to the left before you get to the artists bluff loop and hike up to the top of some rocks and get a great view of the ski mountain!

Today I completed the loop. Great hike but micro spikes are a must. Weather was perfect. There was not a breath of wind in the top. I only saw 2 other people during the hike.

Only went about 0.7 in counter clockwise direction. Someone had been before me breaking the trail so I didn’t need spikes or snowshoes.

Crampons or other traction definitely needed but the hike up was great. Couple of fresh inches atop ice most of the way up. Not many people on the trail as it was bitter cold. Decently steep.
