First thing you should know is that the Dartmouth Ski Lodge is under construction and parking is very limited. We parked nearly a mile from the trailhead. As for the actual trail, it should be noted that this is a steady incline for roughly the first mile. There also really isn't a summit along this trail. There's a nice lookout point but it doesn't feel like the summit. If you take the Ridge Trail, you'll see an actual summit. The best part of this trail is definitely the waterfalls and pools on the descent. The water is ice cold and there's a lot of little spots where you can walk in. My dog really enjoyed this trail but seeing her jump in and out of the water and run over the bridge was really fun. She was off-leash for the entire hike as we didn't encounter any other hikers. Definitely keep dogs on leash in the parking areas and road as there's a lot of construction traffic.
