HikingGreat!

Great views around the entire bay that change with the trail. Trail isn't marked, but really doesn't need to be as there's little to compete with it. Also, the area is small enough that you can't really get too lost. Only time there was bit of confusion was on AllTrails here it showed walking behind the Laboratory, which clearly the UNH team didn't want you doing.

HikingRocky

Beautiful views of the bay around the point. When you cross into the wooded area the trails become smaller, rocky and criss crossed with roots, hilly in places. The trail hugging the water is eroded in places.. but the views and lanscape are magical. Some spots required caution and scrambling. it was a perfect sunny day with a breeze when we went.

Beautiful trail along the the bay. Very rocky cliffs at some points and slippery after the rain. Be careful!

Lousy weather (rainy all day with strong winds). The beauty of the trail more than made up for it! Will definitely come again and again and again!

Nice view of great bay, including a section that isn’t dotted by houses. Trail is short, easy, and extremely well marked. Nice for a quick walk. UNH has a lab that’s visible from the trail at one point. There’s a boat launch for non-motorized boats right by the parking area at the bottom so we’ll definitely come back in the spring with our kayaks.

01/18/19 Very easy 2 mile hike in Durham, NH. Adams Point juts out from the west into Great Bay, New Hampshire's second largest estuarine system. Fed by the tidal waters of the Piscataqua River that forms the boundary between Maine and New Hampshire, the estuary offers a variety of diverse habitats including eelgrass beds, mudflats, salt marsh, rocky intertidal zones, and upland forest and fields.
