This is a pleasant 4.4 mile walk across Red Rock Valley to the base of Mt. Wilson, around the back of Wilson's Pimple to Oak Creek, then down the creek and back to the trailhead.

This is a great option for an evening hike now that the weather is warming up. Never too busy, a nice trail that isn't too tough but is variable enough to be interesting. Climbing to the top of the knoll gives a surprisingly good view for such a little hill. Doing the loop and going around the back of the knoll is great, green and cool and with a little bit of water in the stream from the recent rains. Definitely definitely recommend for a nice peaceful hike.

Tougher than it looks for novices. Elevation rises and tough on the way up but beautiful views and desert scape.

The scenery at this trail is fantastic. However, the first mile or so is full of rocks, which makes for slow moving. Make sure to bring shoes with decent ankle support.

Beautiful trail with lots of natural features. It gets a bit dicey on the north half of the loop, it can be hard to stay on the unmarked trail, so make sure you're device is juiced enough for GPS. No difficult elevation changes but the terrain is quite rugged; you're hiking through a dry rocky creek bed. What out for burro droppings ;)

Actually, walking back on the creek is tough .. and better to walk parallel with a little navigation. I really enjoyed this.
