This is a wonderful trail with the spectacular views and colors of the surrounding areas. I would say that the drop into the canyon was a little more than easy. For my wife and I, I would rate this trail more as moderate. Well worth the effort.

SPECTACULAR imagery along the hike! So many unique rock formations and colors to gawk at. Very simple hike but you will want to be constantly stopping to take pictures and gaze at your surroundings! Valley of Fire is one of the coolest places I've ever visited.

very nice hike. great views, many directional signs and easy enough for all abilities. Its not 3.1 miles more like 1.1. Awesome slot canyon too.

Nice hike. Interesting slot canyon in the middle. Part of hike in sand so slow going. We took some side trails and found some interesting spots. What a great park

Easy hike with great rock formations. The trail is easy to follow and would be good for kids. Plenty of side trails to adventure off in your own. Didn’t see any animals but you will see many different animal tracks in the sand.

End of November.
This trail would have been no more than a 3 simply due to the sheer number of people hiking it, regardless of the beauty.
However: catch a connecting trail or just start walking/climbing the rocks and it’s like you’ve got the world to yourself. For all the people on the loop, once we branched off saw one family of 5 in the next 3hrs...
and it was a pretty awesome- following washes, hidden slot canyons, valleys, etc etc
We finished up the hike at sunset which made it all the more amazing. Looked like an alien world.
Definitely recommend if u r willing to go off the beaten path.

This trail is a little more trafficked. It was a challenge maneuvering with my 3 adventure pups down the narrow rocks in the beginning but it was a beautiful trail. Make sure to go early in the morning for a cooler trip.

Great trail to test the capabilities of young hikers! Route down into the canyon is a fun climb, slot is a nice surprise, and the arch is a great photo-op. Lots of safe climbing around for the smaller ones.

Great trail. But it can definitely get hot out there, and the sand will let you know!

Very nice trail, short but lots of different scenery and nothint too strenuous. Even a small slot canyon!
However, make sure you do this very early in the morning if it's going to be a hot day.

This was the very 1st hike in the park. I really enjoyed the variety. If you hike the loop clockwise you drop down a bit hiking through sand and rocks. When you get to the bottom you start heading up a narrow canyon with interesting rock formation. You even get a little mid morning shade. Nice hike.

Really enjoyed this trail. The slot Canyon was only 60 or 80 feet which was a bummer but it was still cool. It was interesting to see all the indentations in the rocks from the wind.

Nice hike and really a must if you're in Valley of Fire. When you start its all down hil and you're thinking how tough it might be coming back - but - after descending and walking through a short scenic canyon, the trail loops back to the parking lot. Very easy and enjoyable.
