Washoe Lake Wildlife Trail is a 2.2 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Washoe Valley, Nevada that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and birding and is best used from May until November. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.

Trail is seasonal and is a wildlife management area. Abide by all posted signage. This loop features views of Washoe lake/Valley, Flora, Birds and Wild horses.

Easy hike although there is no shade and it was blazing hot today! I recommend doing this less than 2 mile walk on a cooler day.

We camped at Washoe Lake in August 2016 to view the Perseid Meteor shower. Got an early start one morning with one of the doggos & enjoyed this jaunt.

Great walk, beautiful area with a lot of flora and fauna.
