Leave from heavenly parking lot below Tahoe ridge condos and be ready for a solid climb until you hit the Tahoe rim trail. From there it's another gradual climb - about a mile - until you hit the top of the ridge. Once at the top the trail snakes along the top of the ridge. Follow the trail as far as your legs can take you.
