Beautiful view (I went mid-August) regardless of the weather. Doesn’t get much better than a day with no clouds and high 70 degree weather. Takes about 20 minutes at a slow walk to get to a view of south lake, and then a 15-20 minute slow walk without an incline that looks over Carnelian Bay. Great little walk for families and people who want a great selfie photo.

This trail has amazing views of Lake Tahoe! It is a workout with the steep inclines going up but quick and easy going back down! Family and dog friendly. Quick hike / walk unless you stop and read all the signs with historical info about the lake or just sit and enjoy the view. Definitely a must! The trail head is marked with a green gate, parking is on the road next to it. There is a bathroom at top.

Absolutely stunning location to watch the sun rise over the lake. Also helps that very few other folks wake up that early, so you have the point mostly to yourself.

This is a fantastic view of the lake! Accessible and well marked, this is a must for visitors to the north end of Lake Tahoe. Gorgeous views and really gives you a feel of the vastness of the lake.

Great initial stroll for acclimation arriving in Tahoe. Beautiful views of both California and Nevada (Calivada?) from the top of the peninsula. Easy access for kids and older folks, or basically a brisk jog to warm up before heading to something more challenging.

This paved road provides a nice, short walk. The gain is totally doable for novices and there is a small loop at the top (a smaller, paved trail) has educational markers and benches.

There is a sign for "Fire Lookout" when you come up Resevoir Rd from the Bilmore Casino. Drive a little Way's and you'll see a green, metal gate where the trail road starts and plenty of parking on the right.

We did this on our honeymoon, I was in a car accident about a month before and had back injuries so I couldn't do anything crazy but this was perfect and beautiful!

Beautiful view and good for kids! Kind of hard to find the trailhead but worth it! Even in May we hiked through snow!

I do not know if I would call this a hike, it is more of a walk. The trail is paved with asphalt.
Has spectacular views and I would like to return in the winter.

This trail is awesome!! We loved it for a a nice short hike with an awesome view. It’s a steep climb uphill to the “lookout loop” but it’s a nice paved road that is easy to stop along and take in the view. Once you are up at the top it’s a nice loop with information stands and benches along the perimeter of it! Honestly if I lived closer I would trail run this often or bring my dogs like the many other hikers I see. Great place to take friends in town that want an easy hike and a nice view!

Liked learning about Lake Tahoe from the education circle. Definitely a stroll and not a hike. Good views.
