Nice hike with good scenery. Glad I went counter-clockwise to breakup the climb into easier, more gradual segments.

Nice trail with lots of wild flowers. Agree with counterclockwise route. Did not do squaretop potion. Benches along the way to admire the view no mud or snow

Did the Cave Lake Overlook Loop section (about 3.9 miles, 922’ elevation gain) and really enjoyed it. Trail was in great shape, nice views of limestone cliffs, juniper woodlands, puffy clouds, spectacular blue sky, tons of wildflowers - and the lake! Same as Christina, turned right out of the parking lot, hiked counter-clockwise, taking advantage of the flatter slopes on the uphill. Great day!

This was a great hike our family did over Memorial Day weekend. Only saw one other person. We took our dog and three kids (age 6) and made the whole loop. The trail is in great shape and while there is a lot of elevation gain, the excellent trail condition made it easy. Amazing views! Moderate is a good rating for this trail. We recommend going counter clockwise to hit the views early and the major switch backs on the way down. Highly recommend.

Great day hike! Took us a little bit longer than we anticipated (a little under 2.5 hours) as the elevation gains were a bit steep at times, but we are both just starting to get back into shape so that could be why. Great views and lots of spots to see them! Definitely recommend!

When entering the trail, I suggest using the trail to the right and do the loop counter- clockwise. Take your time. Many great views along the way. I considered elevation change moderate to hard.
