Sand Harbor Nature Trail is a 0.5 mile moderately trafficked loop trail located near Incline Village-Crystal Bay, Nevada that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and bird watching and is best used from March until October.
This short, mobility equipment and stroller friendly trail connects to Memorial Point and has access to several secluded beaches and stunning views of the lake and mountains with interesting interpretive placards. There is a $10 cash parking fee ($12 for non-Nevada residents). There is also a credit card self-pay machine if the booth is closed. The boat ramp and parking lot close for the season on October 15th but the main parking lot remains open in the winter. Pets are only allowed on-leash and during the offseason, from mid-October to mid-April. Accessibility: In the large paved Sand Harbor visitor center parking lot, there are multiple designated handicapped-accessible parking spaces along with multiple striped access aisles. The trail surface is boardwalk and it is typically at least four feet wide. It is mostly gentle with an estimated average grade of 2% and a max grade of 5%. Most wheelchair, mobility equipment, and stroller users will likely find this trail navigable. There is a wheelchair-accessible path to the beach here, although a beach wheelchair may be needed to navigate the sandy beach itself. Beach wheelchairs are available for loan at the visitor center on a first-come-first-served basis. There are wheelchair-accessible picnic tables. The boardwalk surface may be too slippery for equipment in the winter due to snow and ice.
Great trail with views of the lake for pictures with family. Dog friendly. Has beach access on both end of the trails
Amazing! The water looks like Crystal, sparkling beautifully . The water near by the shore is beautiful emerald color especially it’s so clear that we could see the rocks and sands in the bottom.. Water out far from the shore is more deep blue. The color could change It depends on the time of the day,
Great short walk for a family. Nice views of the water and beach.
