Directions from Las Vegas: Travel north on U.S. Highway 95, then take State Route 157 west., then transfer onto State Route 158. Travel 3.2 miles north on State Route 158(Deer Creek Road) from State Route 157 (Kyle Canyon Road). On the right is a parking area and the trailhead is on the left.

This trail is really for people who want to rock climb. There's really nothing to report about the trail itself, it's super short with not much to see.

So I climbed to the top of the Roost. There is a trail that takes you west of the slot canyon. And I made it to the top basically bushwhacking. From the top there was patches of snow and you could look down into the Bottom of the Roost. From there you could also see la Madre peak. And dense forest on top

A very short trail but I was lucky enough to watch several climbers scale the walls of the mountains.

This is a short but very fun hike. The trail ends at a cliffhanger and cave but if you're experienced you can make it go on and up over the cave. Doing that it goes on again for about another 3.5 miles or so of hard up climbing in many directions.

Very short, but a bit of a workout getting to the top. Pretty views and scenery.

Really short trail, nothing much to report. Low impact, no big reward at the end, but still worth going. Just too short. Parking is across the street from the trail, just be careful crossing the road.

We went after a little snowfall so always remember on what you can not see under the snow.. the hike itself is short but near the end it does get slightly steep. With the snow falling and no vehicles around it is a very relaxing area.
