The other side of the road at the Huffaker Hills Open Space. Not as many dog walkers and lots more elevation. Good place to watch the planes take off and land.

Love this hike! Nice for an evening stroll with the pup. Second half is quite a bit steeper than the first but at only 1.5 mi round trip, it took about a half hour.

Short but sweet. It packs a decent workout and view into a 1.5 miles out and back trail. The last half is pretty steep and challenging. I saw quail and jack rabbits. The top affords great views of Reno and the surrounding values. You almost feel like you are suspended over the houses below. I will have to return with the kids who will get a kick out of watching the planes take off from the airport. Be mindful on the way down, the trail is pretty loose and it is easy to lose your footing.

Have driven past this hill many times. Glad that I stopped and took the time to walk to the top. Not extremely difficult, but the grade gets steeper half way up!
