We originally were just going to do the trail as indicated, but the extra mile or so to the Hoover Dam was absolutely worth it. At 80 degrees it’s still pretty warm, so definitely never do this trail in the summer months because it is so exposed. The tunnels ended up being way cooler than expected, and the stretch between tunnel 5 and the Hoover Dam has almost no people on it, so you can have a bit of privacy to your hike.

Very easy trail, great views of the lake and some very cool history in the tunnels. Mostly sun unless you’re in the tunnels so it does get warm! Bring water! Perfect last minute day hike for an outdoors fix!

I was so enjoying myself in the 97 degree air on the trail when I came up to the closed sign. What a bummer, I really enjoyed it last time, Park volunteer said they will wait till things cool down to figure out a repair. I walked back and drove down past security and did the bridge over to Arizona instead

Very easy but very enjoyable. As always, bring water. Parking lot has a bathroom.

It was a nice little hike and the railroad tunnels were neat but there is no shade and it’s blistering hot. I would come back on a cool early morning, never again in the heat. The only shade is in the tunnels. There were mojave lizards everywhere, which was neat! And some birds

How can you say no to train tunnels?! Felt very connected to the terrain and the trail, and it's so far my favorite trail near Lake Mead. The trail ends at the 3rd tunnel due to the park renovating it with 3.4 miles, and if you hike all the way to the Hoover Dam it's 4.4 miles. Go there before it starts to get more cloudy and cold this month.

Easy hike, after you get to the first tunnel, the second one and third one are pretty close. No shade. Except in the tunnels.

A nice, easy hike. Roughly about 1.7 miles from parking lot to tunnel three. Nice views of the lake and the rock formations. Amazing colors on the rocks. Hope they fix the tunnel in the near future.

Nice path overlooking the lake with nice views. Well with children and dogs. Bats under the tunnels. We can not do the whole hike right now because tunnel 3 is closed for renovation.

Easy trail but closed at bridge number three since Nov 18 due to falling rock. Nice tunnels, very easy for all.

This is a fun stroll with a gorgeous view! One of my favorites. My Aunt and I used to take this all the way to the dam and bridge four times a week

April 29. There was only 1 other person on the trail. It’s an easy walk. Tunnel 3 is still closed. Coming from the dam there are lots of buildings and you are near the highway but seeing the tunnels was worth the hike.

As of 21 April 2019 trail is currently closed at tunnel three. No sign of when it will reopen. In its current stare it’s 3.5 miles round trip.

Nice stretch of the legs on the way to Vegas from Flagstaff. Closed at tunnel 3 which is at about 1.7 mi. If all the tunnels were open would go all the way to the dam which would be pretty nice.

Nice scenic trail overlooking Lake Mead. Flat and easy terrain. I saw people with jogging strollers going up the trail just fine. A few mountain bikers as well.
