The views and ease of hiking this trail, make it great exercise for your body soul. It is relatively flat and the dirt path easily walked in supportive sneakers. If you can’t quite make the 7 mile round trip, you can turn back at any point and return the same way you came in. No map interpretation required. Trail is very recognizable in person.

It's a great place to run. But it can get really crowded on the weekends. FYI, if the trailhead parking lot is full, I park on the side of the road at one of several pull-outs before you get to the toll booth and I've never had any issues with tickets or being hassled by the parks department. Oh and if you bring a big group, please don't take up the whole trail.
