It's a great place to run. But it can get really crowded on the weekends. FYI, if the trailhead parking lot is full, I park on the side of the road at one of several pull-outs before you get to the toll booth and I've never had any issues with tickets or being hassled by the parks department. Oh and if you bring a big group, please don't take up the whole trail.

I don't know if I'd necessarily call this a hike. It's more of walk. The trail itself is kind of like a fire road. It's a good historical walk and I'm glad I did it. You can walk all the way to the Hoover Dam which I did. NOTHING technical about it. Perfect for kids but a little long. 7 miles out and back.

Nice little get away. If you are just starting out walking or hiking, this would be a good place to start. The trail is wide, smooth and only has a moderate grade. Take extra water with the coming of higher temperatures.

Nice walk from the Visitor Center to Hoover Dam. Five tunnels and a steep decline to the dam. There is an elevator, if you're not feeling up to about 10 flights of steps. Then, the first mile is an uphill grade, but not steep since it is an old railroad bed. Lots of interesting signage along the way to clue you in on area history, geology, and flora and fauna.
