Pretty easy. Just need a decent/stock 4x4. Most of the buildings are gone.

Trail is good for light to moderate walk. No shade, bring lots of water. The town has been heavily graffitied. It looks like people have actually camped in the town which would be a creepy experience.

Easy but long trail. Not much of structure at the Ghost Town. View from the top is great. Good trail for biking.

We were able to drive a 2wd passenger car with low clearance almost all the way to the site. Had to hike the last 1.5 miles (parked at the first spring). The cemetery is to the North of the townsite. Take the well travelled road that starts behind the “barn”. The bat cave is on the left side of main road just past the barn.

Trail itself is nothing challenging. Destination is not worth the effort imho. Carried on straight through from East through the ruins west. Trail got more technical further west. You’d need something short wheelbase with decent clearance to get through. Very few decent vistas. The rest was squeezing through and being slapped by overgrown pines. Was more than ready to get off this trail and is definitely not a redo for us. That being said, was nice, as always, to spend a day out exploring without other people under foot.

We came in through 338 and took 192 into the Pine Grove area. Less driving than the directions on the app.

I would totally recommend this trail for the sole reason of all the ghost town remnants. The trail is super easy.

outstanding. easy access on roads with a good suv or pickup. if you're a sensitive u can get orbs on ur camera. great views quiet. you can drive up the hill with 4x4 and there are graves up there and spectacular views. tip. get the gps coordinates and u will get right there with no issues.

Hiking

A little difficult for us to find the town but definitely worth it. More of a driving trail than hiking, but the views and mountains are spectacular.

Drove in with trucks. SUV would be find getting in too. Nice little adventure. Not a terrible road and the buildings are really cool. Hiked up the canyon behind the hotel and got some cool pictures.

I took my daughter and friend up to Pine Grove. This place never disappoints, definitely has the "wow" factor.

Easy in and out. SUVs and trucks can get there without 4wd if dry. Lots of other trails for great views but 4wd is a must if you opt in to do them. Parked a few times and hiked. Went on a Tuesday. We were the only ones out there.

I've been driving up here for years. Don't forget to climb up to the cemetery. After you pass the "hotel" that us half buried you come to a small "barn." Look up the hill to the south. It's a 4Lo kind of climb but well worth it.

Really neat place, it's a little spread out so make sure you continue to the hilltop where you can see the old cemetery and unmarked graves. We found old soda cans and debris left along with tools and such. Worth the effort to get there. Our side by side broke down and my Kia Sorento was able to drive to the location following quads as my lookout. It took about 30 min to arrive from road so bring snacks and water
