Peavine Aspens is a 2.9 mile lightly trafficked out and back trail located near Reno, Nevada that offers scenic views and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking.
The trail the the aspens is just a forest service road. Nothing crazy.
Rough to get to trailhead in a sedan. Not super picturesque until you reach the grove. We made it past the grove but didn’t finish the trail, so can’t say how it finishes. The grove and stream were a treat.
Trail was fairly easy. Hardest part was the hike from the parked car to the trail. Looking forward to do again in the fall with the Aspens in color
hard to find the trial and the parking is sketchy. didnt really understand where to drive to park. but other than that theres lots of little trails to go down to pick where you want to walk. my 18mo old didnt have a hard time either
Very empty trail, no shade but perfect for late spring or early fall. Dogs loved it, my 6 and 8 year old girls were able to complete with minimal complaining. The views at the top were worth the hike up.
Gorgeous trees and lovely stream! Pretty intense if you go straight on the main trail.
I'm sure that this trail would be beautiful in the summer and fall. As it were when we went out, the snow melt had turned the trail into a waterfall. We had a great time and saw a herd of over 12 deer.
