Monkey Rock is a 2.6 mile heavily trafficked out and back trail located near Incline Village-Crystal Bay, Nevada that features a lake and is good for all skill levels. The trail is primarily used for hiking and nature trips and is best used from April until October. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
It was our first hike as a family. Its does get steep, but that means you're almost there. Its such an amazing view and well worth it. We hiked with our 6yo and he did just fine with all the kid energy he has. I do reccomend going early, as we did hit the hike at 1030 on a Wednesday morning, and on our way down lots of people were heading up!
Very pretty trail, easy trail to follow. Have to walk up the road behind cafe to find trail
Really nice hike with beautiful view to the lake! Last mile had a lot of snow and was pretty fun! Good to have snowshoes but not mandatory!
