As of June 2019, trail is temporarily closed for trail restoration. One of the trails at Mt Charleston. Definitely a moderate hike up hill. The path is very visible. You can't get lost. Can be very slippery in places. A few areas with shade to stop and rest if needed. Weekends are bus, but it is well worth it to see the waterfall at the end. Great trail.

Really nice, relatively short trail with great views as you climb to the waterfall (which was cool). However, it was disappointing to see graffiti, litter, and people cutting across the switchbacks (creating gullies and thereby increasing the potential for erosion).

This is a beautiful hike but like all trails at Mt Charleston, it's straight up! Waterfalls are still active this late in the season. It's a busy trail...lots of kids tearing up the mountainside by creating "shortcuts"...it really does mess up the real trail. The graffiti on the rocks is disappointing. People's lack of respect for nature and other hikers amazes me.

Switchbacks were a little tiresome but worth it. The views were amazing and my kids had a great time playing in the waterfall... so did I;)

Trail had amazing very along the way. While walking on some of the switchbacks it was not clear where the trail was and some parts seemed pretty dangerous. Overall the waterfall at the destination was incredible and totally worth the hike.

Absolutely beautiful hike! The waterfalls are flowing and the water feels great after the trek up. I would rate this as a moderate hike, just due to a few narrow spots on the switchbacks and the steep slopes that you definitely don't want to tumble down. The views were incredible and of course the weather was an amazing escape from the valley heat. 10/10 would hike again. Bring a snack or lunch to enjoy the views and waterfall at the top!

Easy peasy. Probably only need a single water bottle. Plenty of doggies to pet!

Beautiful trail that has trees reflecting season changes. On the way down I lost the trail and it was very steep going down. I would not bring kids there.

Trail is very very crowded but leads to a neat spot and has some great rock climbing off of it. Huge warning though. If you park anywhere outside a designated spot you will get a $200 ticket. We've been here a few times now and they seem to sweep the parking area 3-4 times a day. No parking along the roads in or out and if you even park on a shoulder in the lot itself instead of a designated spot they will absolutely get you.

Great trail! Hiked it with our 6 and 8 year old! Get there early as it does get crowded! Great views at the falls!

Wanted to hike with the dog and thought this would be a good experience. It is pretty, but too crowded to really enjoy the peaceful side of nature. Maybe a trip during the week would be better.

Went hiking with the hubby today. Whatever you do, don’t turn left at the “road block”. You’ll see a fallen tree, that looks like a road block. Because that’s exactly what we did and we were on some type of man vs. wild adventure. Nonetheless, after we pulled out our gps, we realized we had gotten off track. Once back on track, the hike was fun and waterfalls were beautiful. Go early as it gets super packed around 9-10am.

Urban hiking for sure. Gorgeous setting and great easy 1.5 mile in to a nice refreshing waterfall. Downfall is lots of people who don’t have hiking etiquette: vaping, loud music, folks going off trail and not allowing others to pass safely. Overall great hike but far too many people (and dogs) for something that I’d want to do again. ✌️

Steady incline going up but very doable. Start early to beat the crowds! Beautiful picnic area by the waterfalls at the top!

Difficulty: 5/10 (intermediate) Duration: 2hrs Distance: ~4 miles Parking: trailhead parking lot Views: 7/10; opposing mountains, granite, snow, trees Incline: pretty steady incline (steeper in spots and near the top) Technical: gravel to dirt footpath, some rocky spots, several steps especially near the top. Switchbacks after 3/4 mile. Equipment: tennis shoes, T-shirt and shorts. Weather: 70s to 60s Shade: various spots along the route Environment: mountain pine and aspen trees, snow at high elevations, falls were cold water. Wildlife: birds, squirrels Bugs: none Details: gravel path to dirt foot path, switchbacks to near the top, steep (steps in places) nearer the top, falls were cool and welcome. Great views of opposite mountains all the way up. TIPs: went in the evening when the sun was behind the mountain. Make sure to go on to see the cave! PROS: good workout and great views, refreshing waterfall, clean fresh air. CONS: short trail, graffiti but expected this on a short hike LESSONS LEARNED: Enjoy nature, really love aspen trees! Trail is very over crowded, trail gets very tight for the ascent and many inexperienced folks clogging up the trail. Not recommend for experienced hikers gets very frustrating.

Beautiful hike. We were able to spend time in multiple waterfalls. Definitely a moderate hike. We are new to the area and this was one of our first hikes. Very steep at the top but were able to make it with a 4 and 7 year old. Well worth the effort! Beautiful.

This is a nice hike. The first part is pretty easy. After that, it is uphill and gives you a good workout. The falls did have some water coming down. Defiantly a moderate hike. Good idea for poles to help with some of the rocky and steeper areas. I did see children and dogs making this hike.

The switchbacks can get intense but my 5.5 year old made it all the way and this was his first ever hike. Great trail, beautiful views. Highly recommend.

The falls at the end of the hike are beautiful. I was a little unprepared for the dramatic rise in this hike (nearly 1,000'). Be sure you are ready for a few strenuous parts of the trail.

Great trail right outside Vegas. Nice cool temperatures, beautiful scenery. It’s a strenuous hike so be prepared for uphill trekking.
