Love the hike. As far as I'm concerned it ranks at the most difficult end of moderate. It's ranked most difficult on the sign at the trail head, and I agree. Elevation change is nearly 100ft. per a 10th of a mile. Check the weather, take your time and enjoy.

this trail was awesome. plenty of parking available and there is a board right before you walk on the actual trail with some information about Mary Jane Falls and surrounding trails. trail is a mix of gravel and dirt which gets rockier the closer you get to the falls. plenty of places to stop and catch your breath. took my dog along and she enjoyed the adventure as well.

Definitely a moderate hike up hill. The path is very visible. You can't get lost. Can be very slippery in places. A few areas with shade to stop and rest if needed. Sundays are busy :) But it is well worth it to see the waterfall at the end. Great trail. Would def recommend

It's refreshing to see snow on the mountain when it's 95 degrees in the city. The hike itself was ok. A lot of traffic and yelling people throughout. Lots of trash as well. I picked up about 5 or 6 empty water bottles on my way down.

This is an outrage!!!! Easy??? More like WORSE THAN DEATH (at least according to 12-year-old me)!!!! I cried when we endlessly continued uphill on this trail, but in the end, it was well worth checking out the waterfall and the nearby cave. It felt like I had died but finally arrived in heaven. If you think you're ready to take on this "easy" (notice the quotes) trail, bring plenty of water (as much as possible without adding too much weight), a camera, definitely some snacks, and paper and a pen to write your last will and testament. Good luck! ;)
