very easy going trail, some pretty colors on the leaves in October. Most of the trail is unshaded till you get to the upper Thomas Creek trail. Heavily trafficked, and dog friendly.

beautiful at this time of year!

If you like rocks, dirt, sand and sagebrush you like this hike. it starts out strong next to the river, but it disconnects from the river and you walk along this trail with nothing but sagebrush.

Good hiking trail. Awful biking trail. Incredibly rocky. Very small. Better be an expert on a 29 with s dual suspension. Still tough.

Nice trail with some rocks. Not a lot of trees so was warm at times. We did find the old Chevy truck someone mentioned in another review.

This was a nice trial to hike up/trail run down. Very dry and hot. I heard a lot of critters in the brush as I ran through. I was not able to find the old 50’s truck by the creek that another user reported. :(

excellent moderate trail. especially like finding the old broken down 1950s truck in the dirt next to the creek.

A beautiful trail and gorgeous views to enjoy. Rocky in some parts but all good. The crick was running fast and it felt good to wash my face in its cold clear waters. It was fun sitting near a big old Jeffry pine near the crick and enjoy my lunch. I clocked out at 5.2 miles RT. A fun day.

Trail is nice.I felt rather awkward walking through Richey richville.Im not looking for mansions when i hike, but once you get past the division the trees and river is pleasant.

Really enjoyed this trail. The creek is relaxing and most of the trail runs alongside it. I cut across through some brush and roused up a coyote. The trail is a little rocky but not bad. I will hit this trail again.

Though this trail is tucked in between houses, it’s easy to forget that you’re in a neighborhood thanks to the tranquility of the creek. Only negative comment is the amount of dog waste that pet owners have not picked up.

This was an enjoyable relatively easy hike. I felt very safe. The creek was pretty. I would have tried doing part of the upper part but it gets a bit muddy up there. Great 1st spring outing.

Lower part due to sun was doable with show. Higher elevation got muddy so we turned around. Definite do again. More to hike and explore.

Love it, slow and steady incline. Wide open space after the creek. This trail felt different than anything I’ve been on recently.... just wish I would’ve got here earlier in the season to see all the aspen leaves on the trees!!! Would recommend doing it in late September / early October to see the beautiful colors!

*close to reno for afternoon getaway. *lots of water for the dogs. *mostly open air trail, little shade. *a few mountain bikers. *follows mostly creekside, also near residential areas....and a golf course on the opposite side of the creek. *nice fall foliage along the creek- beautiful colors on october.

Nice trail but has no signs when to tell you what leads to where when it branches off, in the midpoint I took off a wrong branch that got me to a dead end then I turned back. Mind horse manure by the way at some parts since it serves as a equestrian trail as well!
