A perfect trail to pop the cherry on my Bronco Sport Badlands. The downloaded map made simple nav thanks to All Trails. incredible views and the dogs loved running along side.

We just got our 4Runner & my daughters have never been off-roading. This was a perfect trail to start them off with. They even screamed a few times the 1st go around & was more comfortable on the way back. People were extremely friendly on the trail too. Good times!!

Scenic driving

Only did the first 15 paved miles due to mud and and snow which were flat and boring. There are camp sites but not much else to see. There is a ranch but its private and closed.

Pretty easy trail. Did it with a stock 2021 Trail Boss and never used 4WD. Saw a little bit of snow (not much) but overall a nice scenic route.

Starts out all pavement - gets good towards the end, with a thin layer of snow to make it more fun. Would label it easy over moderate. No issues with a stock Rubicon.

Went today and there was snow on the ground. Good time and overall easy ride. Took about two hours but we we taking it slow. Looks to be lots of open camping along the way as well if you’re into that. At the end of the trail there is a long dirt/gravel road that leads back to the main road.

We enjoy this trail because of the scenic views and picnic spots. Not a tough trail but can become difficult with traffic when ascending and descending. We saw some snow pockets and wildlife. Keep driving to end up outside of Parhump.

You have around 11 miles of paved road, which provides great scenery and distance. You will lose service about halfway through. After the paged road, you will enter a gravel road that will be a climb and full of twists. It has great views. Just remember, the paved road will end.

This was a fun but challenging trail to do. I was able to get through it in my stock Toyota 4Runner running 265/75R16 tires.

We decided to do some Jeeping on this trail, but were surely disappointing. I wouldn't classify this as a moderate trail, and I don't believe it would require an off highway vehicle. - at least during the late springtime when we went. This is a dirt road with no obstacles, and I assume most vehicles would not have an issue making it out here during this time of year to enjoy the plentiful camping. Unfortunately, I would not consider it a moderate level offroading trail.

Tried this trail again, thought it was drizzling, 3 of our 4 runners made it through just fine. Nice trail to take the whole family on.

OHV/Off-road drivingMuddy

Half of the trail is paved road, Nice to take the family with you so you can see the scenery. When you take the left about 11 miles from the freeway is when you start the off road trail. When I went, it started to rain and the trail got muddy fast. It wasn’t so bad at first, but about a 1/4 of the way in, it started to get dangerous so we turned around. I have 33” Nitto Tera Grapplers and the trail started to get too slick with these A/T tires and I started to slide. This wouldn’t be so bad if I was on a straight trail but there were several switchbacks that climbed in elevation so on the way back I threw my forerunner in four Lo and was barely able to maintain traction descending the switchbacks. I even switched it to crawl control to slow rig in the steep muddy turns, but we made it back. If it was dry I would’ve been fine, but I recommend if the trail is getting wet you need to have some mud tires or get out of there.

Trail doesn’t actually start until 10 miles in just a paved road until then. Then the trail starts and it is pretty fun, something a crossover could do mostly except for some climbs and puddles of mud. Did in a stock f150 2wd

Got up early for a ride in the Polaris before the Superbowl. Decided to explore this trail after researching other reviews. No problem for my Polaris Ranger. Saw a few deer. Had lunch at the top of one the mountains. Had the whole place all to ourselves. Easy trail. Beautiful views.

This road quickly climbs from the end of Lovell Canyon Road to Lovell Summit in the first 2 miles, then slowly descends into Trout Canyon, ending at Trout Canyon Road. Beautiful scenery and numerous camping sites throughout. Well used road so be wary of oncoming offroad vehicles on blind turns especially near the summit where the road is a bit narrow.
