As you come down the hill on US50 from Carson City toward South Lake Tahoe, stop at Logan Shoals Vista for a short paved walk to some nice views. We explored around the rocks and took the steep trail down to the water [slippery with the sand on the rocks]. We saw paddleboarders out on the water. Nice place to take in an early morning view of the lake.

A very short walk to two beautiful viewing areas,, the first almost immediately on the left and the second at the end of the trail. Both spots have wonderful panoramas of the lake and the mountains on the other side...the second also includes a clear view south to Cave Rock. If you extend the hike a few feet further over the rocks, you will also have a beautiful view of the northern part of the lake.
