This is a great moderate difficulty trail. It is never very steep, but offers great views of Vegas and Lake Mead that are comparable to those of much more difficult trails. I definitely recommend this hike.

Awesome! Definitely a hidden gem. If you’re looking for a challenging hike with an awesome reward at the end, do this trail! I ended up scrambling out on the black mountain rocks to get a better view of Lake Mead. Fun trail, I recommend starting no later than 8am.

One of my most favorite trails. When the wildflowers are in bloom, it’s absolutely gorgeous! And the view of Lake Mead makes the hike all worth it. Starts off flat and just a bit rocky and then you switchback until you reach the peak. Not much shade. Be prepared.

Nice trail. Beginning kinda sucks being behind houses, but once you get past that it’s pretty good. Easy climb up, consistent, but not too steep. Wasn’t able to go all the way up due to time constraints. Great red rocks and flowers. No shade. Great views of Lake Mead and can kinda see Hoover Dam

Nice family hike. Recommend early start to avoid crowds. Nice switchbacks, great 360 view at the top of :Lake Mead, Vegas valley and Boulder City. Saw many lizards, horned toads and mountain sheep. Wildflowers were so colorful!

Great trail to start a day. Loose gravel, switchbacks all with a gradual incline to the top. Beautiful view of Lake Mead at the top.

Really great trail, saw some wildlife. Saw kids and dogs on the trail so it works for them as well.

Very fun hike! Beautiful views and tons of wildflowers and lizards! Easy path to follow.

It was awesome to hike. We went with a 9year old and a 7 year old. The kids loved it. The 7 year old did ok but it was almost to much for him. Bring snacks and lots of water it already getting warm! Early morning would be the best time to go.

The views at the end were so worth it! Seeing a view of lake mead and Las Vegas valley was awesome! Definitely recommended

Beautiful trail! The wildflowers were showing off today. Hiked with my teens and our cavalier .... we stopped at the first peak and enjoyed the view. Didn’t go all the way to the black mountain lookout but plan to next time.

Fun trail, all uphill for quite a ways. Lots of zig zags to scale mountain and some narrow spots on the way up. This trail is easy to do for most kids and adults. Lots of wildlife, lizards, sheep, quail. This trail eventually connects with the 1.5 mile black mountain trail. If you elect to do this, make sure to start in parking lot, go behind sign and then head more towards the right side. If you veer left you will miss the trail completely.

Great hike, lots of greenery around. Incline wasn’t bad at all. View from the top you can see both the strip and lake mead.

This was an amazing trail! Not too hard but a nice challenge on the incline. Best views in all of the city at the top! Bring lots of water during sunny hot days

Gradual incline for about 90% of the trail. Keep pushing to the end as the view is incredible, and there’s a bench too.
