Casual walk more so than a hike, but there’s plenty to see. I went on a super sunny day at about 45 degrees. Small, disparate ice patches today, but navigable with trail shoes. I went early at around 9:30 am on a Sunday so there were plenty of moments where I was completely alone to hear the wildlife and soak some rays.
Enjoyed the hike. If you’re walking from Harrahs it’s easiest to catch the trail at the highway.
Nice trail with some lovely forest, meadow, and beach scenery. Semi urban for parts of the trip. Note that Google maps will take you to a private condo complex. Do not follow those directions but head to the public park as mentioned in other reviews.
Like a choose your own adventure! Parking: As others have said, park at the community park. Then catch the trail by going in between the playground and building, past the soccer fields, up the stairs and go left. The trails are all over the place, so if you want only do what is listed on AllTrails then follow the map closely, otherwise have fun and meander. There is a point where you can cross the creek to a beautiful meadow. Another spot where you want to go off and up to the granite boulders for a view! Got caught in a downpour and thunderstorm at the end of mine but that just made it for a quick cool off!
Really loved this trail. Takes you kind of close the the highway and most of it is a paved road, but it’s really stunning and you see so much
Nature trail more than a hike, super easy. Easy for a nice 2 hr stroll. Beautiful in the winter as well.
Nice moderate hike. Not much in the way of views but very pleasant in the trees with quite a bit of shade. Definitely park at Kahle park rather than across the road. The trail back from the beach doesn’t have much shade so consider which way to go depending on temp and sun exposure. As you’ll see in the other reviews the trail isn’t very well marked. Following the map on AllTrails was very useful.
