The dirt road to the trail was helpful. Not the best that Red Rock has to offer, but decent for the novice hiker.

Cool geology. It gets a little steep at the end. I parked at the first lot, because the sign says high clearance only, and then I walked the .4 miles to the trailhead. No biggie, but a Honda Civic or any similar sedan would be absolutely fine driving the road to the second parking lot.

This is a good workout trail. It's fairly quiet compared to many of the other trails in Red Rock Canyon. Trail gets a little squirrelly when going over the sandstone so keep your eyes open for the Cairns.

Easy trail to get lost on towards the end, I had my phone out with this app open the whole time trying to figure out which trail went where. Besides that, great views of the keystone thrust majority of the trail and some really neat, bright red rocky formations towards the end that I did not expect! Saw nobody else on the trail.

The end left me wondering why that was the end. At the halfway point there is a spur up the little hill which might end with more satisfaction

Not the best but not horrible. Be prepared for a mile long climb along a narrow, rocky path. The views are good but fairly fixed. Be on the lookout for the trail’s only marker which is located about 250 yards from the parking lot. Miss this and you will be headed out on White Rock Loop.

The drive to the second parking lot can be a little rough. There is zero shade but other than that it was a nice trail with good views.

Nice hike. Not strenuous but a do ger some cardo. Views provide a diverse look at the different rock formations and colorings.

Keyatone Thrust is a nice hike but Calico Tanks is far more beautiful.

Good all-around hike: a mix of paths, steps, inclines/declines. i enjoyed the terrain diversity. Not a whole lot of critters to be found. I guess the foot traffic keeps everything far from the trails.

Pleasant hike after a rough gravel and rocky road to the trail head. Up and back late afternoon with a surprise Big Horn crossing my path!

Full sun and uphill all the way in until turn around. Super views throughout. Make sure to take the marked trail to the right just after the trailhead. Drive to the second parking lot (gravel, rough road) to get the the trailhead.

Good entry level hike. Nothing too strenuous with regard to inclines or scrambling over rocks and a pretty short distance.

Had the place all to myself, late afternoon hike. Nice and quiet. Trail not marked well past first mile ...... SUV best to drive to the upper parking lot, lots of basketball size rocks and dips in the road.

As a beginner, I think Keystone is one of the better trails in Red Rock. It's challenging enough but not prohibitive for younger kids. After you round the hill and head down toward the thrust, you have an amazing view of the valley. It's important to note that there are two parking areas for White Rock. If you're only doing Keystone then I suggest driving up the road to the Upper White Rocks parking area. As of June 2017 this road was horrible. I'm not sure if they have plans to pave or resurface the road but there are large, basketball sized rocks and small boulders to avoid as to not damage your vehicle. I would recommend you bring an SUV, Crossover or pickup if you're able. Small cars with low clearance need to be very cautious.

I would rate this trial easy, but with some elevation. it was unclear where the trail ended, so I may not have made it to the end. nearby Calico Tank trail was so much better. nothing to see on the trail you cannot see from the road.
