Good trail, took this to Ophir and up to VC. There is a couple deep washouts
Nathan B.
Drove January 27, 2018 with Tacoma 4x4, stock.
Quite wet and muddy with a few washed out sections, though there were some alternative sidings and paths available.
Really wet and mucky toward top near the jumbo/Ophir crossings.
I would say in its present state this is a moderate technical route for off-roading.
It is a lot of FUN!! We have been on December 26th 2017. There was not snow so part of the trail was good. We had to stop at certain point because there was a big hole full of ice. I have a truck so i stopped. I saw Jeep and UTV going without any problem. Definitely during other seasons is perfect!
We had a lot of fun!!!
Fun trail, not too hard for most of it, but the spring melt and erosion has made some obstacles that would be very difficult in a stock 4x4 truck or jeep. A couple sections are also very narrow, our UTV was getting brushed by branches on both sides. There are some great views higher up, and plenty of side trails to explore.
found some gold on this trail
Kinda boring. Not bad if done at night to add some spice to it. Good beginner place to test out your 4x4, or to take a real stock or city 4x4. :p
