Did some off roading on the main road - pretty rocky. After that enjoyed a nice hike which was lovely. Great views and the part I explored was empty, calming.

Very busy trail! Even during quarantine, we passed 4-5 side by sides and at least a dozen dirt bikes. Most were friendly and slowed down, but a few teens on dirt bikes blew right by with no regard for hikers. Not a solitary trail.

Increíble ruta para ciclismo de montaña ... aunque hay una parte bastante complicada qué hay que caminarla hasta la cima.

Great run from Virginia City to Washoe Lake......Made it easily in a stock Jeep Gladiator Sport. Lots of confusing offshoots of the trail, signage would be helpful.....

Solid trail! Ran half today, starts off pretty M’eh then the rest is high clearance low range climbing. Not for long wheel base FYI. Very rewarding with beautiful views.

Good scenery. In a 2013 4-door JK with 3" lift. My wife is learning to drive her jeep. This was a great place for that. A couple of steep drop-ins made it fun. You can leave the loop and go to Virginia City.

we did jumbo in our stock xj and one on 31s. both did fine however our stocker took a small bit of tailpipe damage. its a fun scenic and some what technical trail. stock jeeps are fine but you will need driving experience to come out with no damage.

Great trail but definitely not easy anymore. Ran it in a stock Colorado ZR2 without too much issue. Long wheel base vehicles or vehicles without a lot of clearance will have problems. Unlike other easy trails, you're not going to be able to take this trail in an everyday vehicle.

Drove January 27, 2018 with Tacoma 4x4, stock. Quite wet and muddy with a few washed out sections, though there were some alternative sidings and paths available. Really wet and mucky toward top near the jumbo/Ophir crossings. I would say in its present state this is a moderate technical route for off-roading.

It is a lot of FUN!! We have been on December 26th 2017. There was not snow so part of the trail was good. We had to stop at certain point because there was a big hole full of ice. I have a truck so i stopped. I saw Jeep and UTV going without any problem. Definitely during other seasons is perfect! We had a lot of fun!!!

Fun trail, not too hard for most of it, but the spring melt and erosion has made some obstacles that would be very difficult in a stock 4x4 truck or jeep. A couple sections are also very narrow, our UTV was getting brushed by branches on both sides. There are some great views higher up, and plenty of side trails to explore.
