All of the trails in Galena are great! The easy access from Reno and the instant mountain terrain. This is a nice trail. Perfect for when you're looking for something quick.

Great area, the trail was a little unclearly marked at places.

Fun moderate bike riding, I started at the south entrance on Bitter brush.
The descent was fast and a bit rocky but a real blast.

This well-shaded 1.7 mile loop is in a beautiful setting and has two creek crossings. Mild inclines on this well-kept trail make it a good one for a trail run, quick hike, or an outing with kids or beginning hikers. Great wildflowers in late May and June. The trail head parking lot has tons of parking places, horse trailer parking, a bathroom and picnic tables.
