Very possibly my favorite hike in the metro area. Long enough to be challenging, but not difficult. a beautiful trail with a river crossing leading to a picturesque waterfall. Really gorgeous hike!

Great steady incline, steady decline, narrow trail, with a waterfall as the crown jewel at the peak. Dog friendly. Minimal shade until the end. Well marked. Rocky for small stretches. Relatively close to town. Bathrooms and parking at the base.

Pretty crowded but worth it. No ice. Recommend hiking boots. Pretty, bring lots of water. It’s hot out!

Beautiful. Almost no remaining Ice and very little mud. Last mile up is gorgeous - in a pine forest. Some rockiness but no scrambling.

Great local trail and beautiful waterfall. I was lucky enough to catch it before all the ice and snow was gone. The only cons I have are that parking is limited and the trail can get busy.

HikingGreat!

Great gradual incline. Beautiful scenery and flowing creek is nice background noise. Little icy closer to the waterfall but was manageble in just my hiking shoes. Either go slow or around. Few narrow and rocky parts but trail was great. Quiet hike up and then started running into groups of people on my way down around 10:30am.

Awesome hike! Going toward the waterfall is pretty much uphill the whole way! Most of it is a gradual uphill with some steeper spots here and there! I would say highly trafficked is an understatement but everyone on the trail was super friendly and respectful of squeezing pass each other when the trail got really narrow! Very dog friendly! I would say the last 1/2 mile was still a little muddy/icy but most of those spots could be avoided by going around if you really wanted to! I wore waterproof hiking boots just incase after reading other reviews but really could have done without them! You may get muddy, as the snow is still melting in some spots! Lastly, we went around 12, which was a little later then we wanted to get started but it ended up working out perfect, we missed the morning crowd, most people were on their way down and we showed up before the early evening crowd, lots of people headed up on our way back! The only downfall of going at that time is that it was pretty hot and the sun was shining! I couldn't imagine doing this hike at 12 during the summer months!

Nicely maintained trail. Abysmal mask etiquette. (I guess it’s Nevada. Bathrooms are still closed. Icy at the end near the waterfall, boots/traks worked well. Lovely csnyon vistas. I’d call it heavily trafficked (it’s a Friday).

Beautiful day! Wear good hiking shoes that can get dirty - there’s still a decent amount of mud, ice and snow at the top. Tricky to navigate in some spots. But worth it!
