Huffaker Park Lookout Trail is a 1.9 mile heavily trafficked loop trail located near Reno, Nevada that features beautiful wild flowers and is good for all skill levels. The trail offers a number of activity options and is accessible year-round. Dogs are also able to use this trail but must be kept on leash.
Nice urban nature trail located near Southeast Reno with an interpretive loop. Summit features 360 degree views. Great for walking, hiking, running, and mountain biking.
Fun family and dog friendly trail. Picnic tables at great spots for a quick rest and to soak up the view. I plan on making this a regular event.
A little messy and muddy in parts after the substantial snow. Spectacular views of the Reno basin all covered with fresh snow, quite a contrast to middle summer.
I loved this hike! Lots of gorgeous views. Easy with just enough heart elevation to feel like exercise. Good trails for well-behaved dogs. Would do again.
most of it was a nice, easy walk that was perfect for a cool day. the section up to the to top of the hill was a little too steep and technical for my liking, but I still did it for the challenge. it's a side trail so you can skip it. the main trail has a lot of dogs and a lot of people who don't clean up after them.
This is such a great intermediate/beginner hike it gives you the work out that you need but gives you the ability to keep pushing yourself to get a little farther
Nice walk, didn’t go the full way. Can hear the freeway and construction the whole time. Good for kids. Saw lots of dog poo, be careful!
Good urban nature trail. At the top you can overlook the city of Reno. But there is almost no shade to rest.
Gravel loop with plenty of picnic benches and trash cans along the path for a rest. Only a slight elevation gain, relatively flat the whole time. No shade and the view is of the city. You can hear/see the freeway the whole time. Good for a quick stroll.
Great! This is an amazing little hike with some unique views of the City if you do not have enough time. I usually trail run this one during lunch time under the week. Recommended!
Lizards galore! Groomed gravel trail with plenty of right-of-way. Good little pulse elevator. My 8 year old was able to navigate readily.
Great hike right in town. Most of the elevation gain is right in the beginning, and sure to get your heart pumping if you take it quickly! I personally love to come here in the evening, near the start and end of the trail are some beautiful lookout benches to watch the sun set over town. There are plenty of people even late in the evening but it doesn’t ever feel too crowded and the trails are fairly wide.
Great little run during lunch time if you work in South Reno. Multiple access points and good for all experience levels In summer try to get up there early. It is getting really hot and there is no shade.
