Pretty quick and easy trail, mild incline and descent is easy, watch for slippery rocks towards the end of the trail.

On hot days in the Las Vegas valley it's nice to escape to the Mt Charleston area and enjoy cooler weather and a nice breeze. At the end of the canyon you'll find in the shadow of the canyon walls the tall pines and cool breezes. Just sit back relax and enjoy the pleasant smell of pines...

Great trail, but definitely one of those trails where hundreds of people come out on the holidays. Best to avoid on the weekends. Honey Bunny and I went up there on Memorial day, but after about a half a mile we turned around and hiked back down. Just way too many people.

Great surprise seeing how green the land can be so close to Vegas - left with my dog on a 90 degree day expecting it would get too hot for her after a short while - it was 73 degrees by the time we pulled up and hiked the whole path together - drove back to Vegas after and it was still 90. Lots of shade and some streams so your dog can have a drink.
