Such a gorgeous hike. Went in April and there was still snow on the ground

The second half is an awesome slot canyon with some very light scrambling over debris and boulders that have fallen in. Still need boot spikes -it is extremely glassy on the slopes. Did it with a set of walking poles but very sketchy

HikingGreat!Snow

Lovely trail. Lots of snow still on the ground towards the end. Best part is that it’s not cold and not difficult to hike on. It seems like the trail ends at one point but if you keep to the right and go along the rocks you can still hike for a while til the rocks come together. I suggest hiking boots esp if you go soon to handle the snow.

It was perfect. We made it out to the rocks in the slot canyon then turned around. The further we went the more powdery the snow. Perfect for making snow angels. Lots of traffic on Saturday at noon though.

its a canyon so u can't really get "lost", warmer cuz lower elev, went til I got to the "slide" was alone and didn't want to risk injury so didn't go any further, not to the slide until u can't go any further pretty much and can almost touch both walls with hands, careful about veering left towards the end u will end up on a ledge or cliff so be mindful with kids and dogs u will have to back track a min or 2 to get down to keep going, oh and if u reach a fork left and up or right and straight but creepy lookin they both end up the same place

The snow was tightly packed. Very slippery. Bring good boots or walking poles.

Fairly Easy, slight incline here and there. if you haven't gotten into the canyon, it's not the end. Keep going where it's a bit of scramble up. When you reach the "slide" it's pretty much the end. You could continue on over that boulder but we didn't want to risk injury. Nice and Cool lots of shade.
