I’ve loved this hike since I was 2. My boys enjoyed it last month as much as I did despite intense winds. Be sure to check out the slot canyon just east of the Professionals ruins.

Awesome hike! I agree with everyone’s reviews about it being difficult to navigate, we did veer off path and have to turn around at one point. We started before 9 and saw very few people, especially after the fire wave. By the time we met up with the white domes loop it was pretty crowded and getting hot. I live in Arizona and I’ve never seen rock formations like the ones on this trail! If you can download the map and have plenty of water it is absolutely worth doing.

Wonderful hike. Some shade on the back half in the morning hours due to the canyon.

Best hike in a beautiful park. Went on a weekday midday and there were plenty of folks on the trail. It was sunny and about 60 degrees which was perfect. Not much shade but beautiful sights on every inch of this trail. Follow the trail as mapped as the first leg of the White Dome trail is steep and sandy and much easier to walk down than up. Downloading the map is a big help in finding both the Pink Canyon trail after Fire Wave as well as the Seven Wonders loop junction. Enjoy!

This is not an official trail. The Fire Wave is an out and back and the White Domes part is a loop. The rest is off-trail hiking.

The entire middle part isn't really marked, especially seven wonders, but it was beautiful! Glad I had downloaded the maps. Not too difficult, a little bit of scrambling. I went up the white domes loop to the right and it was a lot of sandy uphill.

Absolutely worth the time and effort! Beautiful! Definitely download the map! There are many places that are not marked for the trails this app shows. Cell service is spotty. Morning is best. There were lots of people arriving when we were leaving. There is a lot of rock scrambling and sand. The slot canyons are great.

Phenomenal route. I would describe it as "the trail of one thousand colors", as it seems you'll be hiking through rock formations colored red, orange, yellow, green, purple, pink, you name it. It's an onslaught of fantastic geological features, including 3 slot canyons and a brilliant palette of colors. The slot canyons are fun but after a good rain can be full of water. On my trip in mid-March, all 3 of White Domes, Pastel Canyon and Kaolin Wash slots had water in them. It's harder than you think - a lot of scrambling is needed. Would not take grandma. Additionally, download the map, you'll need it as the trail markings are poor, as is tradition in the desert.

Definitely follow the map. There are so many trails you can go on. Trails were good, not to hard. Saw 10 big horn sheep ( 2 of them being babies )on the white dome loop. Great hike.
