Easy trail that goes to the top of the tunnel over hwy 50. Well maintained, all ages to the base of the rocks that form the tunnel. Little more climbing there but still easy to get to top of rocks. WONDERFUL picture spot. Kid friendly for non-squeamish parents. This is a walking trail for sure.
Does anyone know if you need snowshoes for this trail this time of year?
A nice easy trail with a steep but doable climb to the top of the tock at the end. Spectacular views.
Nice short hike with great views!
Look for Cave Rock street. Drive up a little ways to a very small parking lot and walk up. I posted a picture of the entrance to the street.
Short hike with great views! Not hard at all. Anyone can climb up. Unless you are terrified of heights! Young children should not go on this hike.
Short trail at the end it's a steep climb to the lookout on the top of the rock. The stunning views from the lookout worth every effort.
Pretty easy hike. Short with elevation. The rock climb is the only tricky part of the hike. A reasonably fit person can climb it. Large dogs can make the climb too.
I cant seem to where the trailhead starts due to consyruction on the tunnels. Does anyone know another way?
Beautiful sunset view. Limited parking so get there early.
Although I wouldn't really call this a "hike" because it's SO short and super easy, it has such amazing views at the top...especially at sunset! The majority of the hike is on a dirt path, uphill on the way there, then the last part of the hike consists of scaling up rocks to get to the top. My 10 year old was able to do it fine, though. Perfect location to get some great shots of the lake and sunset!
Great quick little hike to a cliff that looks over Lake Tahoe.
