Good, short little hike. Pros: easy to get to, close to other trails, and good shade coverage. Cons: no amazing views until the very end, and right now they don’t really want people near Castle Rock due to peregrine falcon nesting. Overall I’d recommend the Castle Rock Loop over this one, if you don’t mind a couple extra miles.

Good view of Lake Tahoe in the distance, plenty of connecting trails including the TRT to make this a bit longer and more challenging.
