Trail is a little tricky to find, but it was a nice, easy, trek to the water. Very quiet and peaceful.

Nice view at the end of the official trail, but to make it really fun, head up the trail that goes off to the right and follow it over to the right. Keep following past the weather station for the best views. The rocks here (off trail heading toward battleship rock) are very sharp - through many parts my dog wanted carried just because it hurt her paws - dog boots recommended.

beautiful. there are a lot of things to explore off trail. just be careful not to disturb the fragile ground.

I expanded the hike to Battleship Island which is no longer that. The hike ends up being 5.7 miles round-trip. It is interesting seeing the items that used to be underwater - sunken boat, mussel shells - and walking along land-bridges from one land-mass to another.
