This trail is definitely a bit sketchy during the summer. In addition to it already being very hot in the mornings and there is absolutely no shade, the trail itself is poorly marked. It starts off as a well-maintained, wide dirt path, but after a few back and forths I realized that the path was not taking me up the hill. Upon closer inspection of the trail map, the actual trail to the summit is a narrow, rocky, barely-there trail that cuts through the brush, AKA "Prime Rattlesnake Territory". Did not feel comfortable taking my dog through all that (off leash or on), so we cut this hike short. It may be better in the winter, but definitely use caution in the summer.

There are two falls. This is one 3 trails. If you want to see falls take the short 3/4 mile trail, or the ash canyon loop trail for the other set.

This was a steep incline but the view at the top was totally worth it! I love the flag and am proud to call Carson City my home. ❤️

great views of the valley but it'll get snowed out after a big storm so be aware you may be losing the trail up there. pack water.

A short loop

Wonderful views, water stream and small waterfall make this small trail definately worth.

It was so serene once my kids and I got to the waterfall. There are two trails, one to the waterfall and the other that loops around the waterfall. If you choose the loop you will bypass the waterfall. Get there early as it does get a little popular with other hikers. Enjoy!
