Not the best trail markers. Very easy and very beautiful! If you follow the directions that are on this map it leads you to a dirt path that goes up hill, so if you want to start up top and head down that is always an idea. If you end up there note that on the side where there is a gate for “personnel only” that path leads you to where the zip line is, and you can get a good view point of Lake Mead and The Strip. But the real trail is a path behind the “wall” that’s supposed to stop your car from going over the side. If you follow that trail to where you see a split road take the trail that goes up and you get the most amazing view when you make it to the top!!

Fairly easy trail with an amazing view and a bench to relax at the top. We parked at Bootleg Canyon Park and started our hike from there. Made it a little longer and tougher but our 5 yr old knocked it out. The way back down we took the road/walking trail to relax a little.

Great views, a must do. There is about a mile and a half of dirt/gravel road to get here. Nothing to difficult

Fun trail, very easy for kids and older people. Slightly steep decent at beginning, followed by fairly flat for sometime, then a winding grade upward that is easy with the winding trail. Some areas of narrow trail, so keep young ones closer to you. There are numerous trails in this area. This trail is at the top of the drive, at the end of the road. Small cars and suvs should make it fine, as long as conditions are good.

After the paved road ends, there is 1.8 miles of very rough gravel road to the parking lot at the trailhead. The views from this trail are fantastic.

Great trail. I decided to do both the Red and Black mountain overlooks. It is a steady incline good for exercise or trail running. While the trail is obvious when you're walking it, I liked how you can't really see where the switchbacks are above you. Watch for bikers and pay attention to the trail in the beginning because it snakes around a little. Not many people on the trail today.

I would rate this trail easy. Which was exactly what I was looking for bringing my kiddos. I was able to drive to the trailhead with my Honda Accord but I would recommend a vehicle with higher clearance, the dirt road is definitely bumpy and I had to drive very slow. The trail is very well maintained. There was a bench at the top with some info on the different layers of rock in the mountains nearby which I enjoyed reading the facts about.
