Great little stop if you are into petroglyphs/Native American history. If you go around the entirety of the big rock there are petroglyphs in many, many more places than just the top of the stairs.

Like others have said, more of just a quick stop and walk up some steep stairs, but the history you get to see is so worth it!

Cool little stop, not really a hike, more of a tourist attraction, but nice experience nonetheless

Lots of people getting out of their cars to stretch their legs on this one. Some were wearing flip flops.

I wouldn’t really call this a hike, but, it’s a neat stop to stretch your legs and see the petroglyphs.

The top of the stairs has a beautiful view as well as close ups of the petroglyphs. We walked around the big boulder the stairs were attached to and noticed additional petroglyphs higher up on the rock.

This is essentially a stop along the scenic drive to view a number of petroglyphs at the top of the staircase.

Great view, if you go past the stairs and actually (safely) scale in between you come to a beautiful scenic view! 2nd time going, highly recommend.

It’s very sad to see someone wrote graffiti over parts of the hieroglyphs! But there are still some nice looking hieroglyphs at the top of the large metal stair case that’s not far from parking lot.

short climb up a set of steel stairs to a panel of petroglyphs. awesome historical artifact. plastic panels placed in front of and below to keep vandals from carving their names into the rock.

Not much of a hike, but really cool to see some good petroglyphs. If you walk around the rock (to the right, if you are coming down the stairs) there is another whole set of petroglyphs at eye level that you can take a look at. Cool place to stop for a quick look.

Not really a hike but it’ll only take you about 5 minutes round trip to see this ancient graffiti.

Don't miss the petroglyphs beyond the stairs! from the bottom of the stairs, facing the rock, keep walking to your left. There are more (and better) petroglyphs within the first 100 yards.

Neat to see the Petroglyphs but I hate exposed heights and these steps are terrifying. You can feel the wind through them and honestly, you see cool Petroglyphs in Petroglyph Canyon. BUT, they were neat to see up close.
