Didn't actually go all the way up to Snow Valley Peak from the Ash Canyon side because I was more interested in linking up with the Hobart Road above the Reservoir. The road can be four-wheeled up to the point where it forks to the Hobart Road to the north and Snow Valley Peak to the south, but I hiked it. The road is all uphill, but it gets pretty steep after about two and a half miles ("Landing 2".) There are new mileage markers along the road. Accordingly, It's five miles to the parking area on the connector road over to Hobart. Great views from the tops of Ash and Vicee Canyons.
