3-mile smile via badger pass is a good workout. After the tunnel under route 160, the trail meanders over a few hills. The incline is mild but becomes steep before the top of intermediate climb. There are some tight switchbacks down the other side as you lose some hard earned elevation before taking a left and heading up to a big flat place up the hill. The big flat place is where I turn around, but there is still a bit more climbing opportunity if you're in the mood for it. The ride down 3-mile smile is fun with a few optional jumps where you can catch some air if you are brave. You could take a right turn about half way down and follow the trail back over that one big hump. I've done it that way and don't recommend it. I never saw any signs that said "3-mile smile", but I believe the correct 3-mile smile route calls for you to keep going down the hill. Eventually, takes you back to the right where you briefly ride a segment of badger pass again. Take the left fork to head down the white rhino trail (marked). Once you see the tunnel, ride back under the highway and then turn left togged back to the parking lot. Overall, a very fun ride. Good climbing and good downhill, too. I left a pair of unscratched safety glasses up the big hill, and you can have them if you get there and find them before I make the trip back up.
