The 144th Street Trail connects many residential neighborhoods of western Omaha to popular biking/running spots such as Standing Bear Lake, Zorinsky Lake and Wehrspann Lake. At 10 miles in length - end to end - the concrete multi-use path is an option as part of a long bike/run if you don’t mind a bit of a challenge! The trail is extremely hilly. If you need to get some hill work in, this is the perfect place to do so. There is plenty of parking along the trail, as there are several commercial areas with available parking in addition to lots at the trailheads. Although there is some shade along the route, it is not considerable.
