Short but elevated quickly - pretty falls. You would have to go off trail to get closer - it’s doable but you have to pay attention for safety.

Short hike to a beautiful waterfall. You can scale up once you get to the end to get other viewpoints of the waterfall.

What a beautiful and easy route for our first outing. Dog and kids managed well. Path is well work making it simple to follow. Peaceful to sit and listen to the waterfall and from such a short route. Great for a short drive to get out of the house or if staying in the campground.

Road closed a half a mile from the trailhead. Lots of deep snow spots. Very cold day! -20 with wind chills. So cold that this raging waterfall was at a stiffening stand still! Thank you for all the rock wall formations! They kept us going the right way. We did have to make our own trail in parts of the ascent but what a wonderful day to spend with my wife for our 2nd wedding anniversary.

Hiked this on 1/5/2018. 46 degrees. Trail was in great shape for January. Campground is closed that trailhead is located in. Have to park at the gate on the other side of the Stillwater River bridge and walk over. Take a left when you get to the campground and follow the road up to the trailhead.

Good trail with a great payoff at the top. Especially good for hikers who need a shorter trail with a big incentive ( like your friend or family member that’s newer to hiking)

A wonderful easy hike for a day trip! Bring a hammock and hike straight up to the top past where the trail ends and there is a lot of awesome spots! One of my weekend favorites.

Good easy trail to the overlook, but climbing to the top really pays off. No trail to the top so you have to find your own.

My five year old and 2 dogs hiked this today. We got there early so only saw a few people. This trail was perfect for a kid, especially with the payoff of the waterfall at the end!

Beautiful waterfall, especially in late spring/early summer when the snow melt is high. Very easy trail, well worth the drive. From the trailhead sign to the waterfall overlook, it is 1 mile. Although the trail terminates at the overlook, it is possible to climb up to the top of the falls. There is no trial, so this would be climbing the rocks and such. Wear appropriate shoes.
