Great trail all seasons except summer unless you go early as there is no shade. Excellent views of Missoula and dog friendly.
Safe open trail with great views of Missoula and Rattlesnake. Kid friendly with many people bringing dogs along the trails. Multiple trails in the 106 acres that was dedicated for hiking.
A great place for trail running or walking! I ran Waterworks, then went down from the parking area to Greenough Park and jogged through that area, as well. I would definitely go back! It was a fairly easy run with great views of the city.
Great views of Missoula and a nice challenge with a few uphill climbs.
Awesome trail with great scenery. This trail only took us about an hour and a half round trip!
The views are beautiful and wildflowers are plentiful. It is annoying that there are so many people with out of control dogs off leash who feel entitled to let their dog growl and act aggressively. There are signs warning of dog attacks and asking owners to use leashes. The request was dismissed by everyone we encountered.
Great and easy hike in town to take dogs or get a quick workout. Beautiful views of Missoula, especially in the fall.
Great views from an EASY hike of Missoula! Also great for some nice trail running loops to get a little elevation!
Great hike - Not too difficult but a brisk workout :) First trail I did after a year of not hiking, took our little one on my back. It was a perfect way to get back into hiking. beautiful views of Missoula and lots of lovely bitterroot flowers at the top. Lots of people on this trail.
Great little hike with enough folks around to not feel isolated, but not so many to be crowded. Wonderful views of the city. If you go on a sunny day, even a cool one, take water! There's definitely no shade, even on the canyon side.
