Great trail running trail, the mud was significant on some sections of the trail though.
This was an amazing hike!! My husband and I went with our two boys (3 yrs and 8 mo.) and our dog. it was not too difficult in most places, and there was a ton of shade. It was really beautiful!!! if you start in the lower lot it is about 5.5 miles, but there is a second lot a bit further up. I'm glad we did the first part, it was a good, easy, mostly flat warm up and cool down! It was really just the perfect distance, grade, cover, and the view from the top was beautiful!!! Very nice for a relaxing little hike with the family!!!
Great trail. Took kids ages 4-11 and they all made it fine, albeit with more than a few breaks. Took us awhile. Beautiful view of Bozeman from the top.
This is a beautiful, three-hour hike. Be advised that I t's a bit more strenuous than the "Easy" rating, however. The views along the trail a various, as are the foliage and wildlife. And the view from the top of Bozeman, the patchwork farmland, and the surrounding mountains is spectacular.
Not too rough, trail is very well maintained. Go early and you'll get wonderful views of wildflowers. Watch for mountain bikers in the narrow areas of the trail.
Easy hike, in fact a good trail to run. Easy trailhead to find and a great view of the city from the top. Best to go in the spring due to the wild flowers.
Wasn't easy but challenging. We hiked it with our 6 yr old in about 2.5 hours. Uphill half the time. Great views!
