Nice hike for a family with small children. Spacious camp sites. Creek is frigid but feels just right on a hot summer day!

Great trail with awesome views. The fall colors were great. Trail was pretty sloppy due to snow melt and there was still considerable snow along the way.

This is a beautiful trail! It actually is only 3 miles as listed, not 8. There are 8 mile loops up there, but this is not it. Best place to park is at the fork in the road before entering the campground. The entrance to the trail is just to the left of the main road marked TR411. Follow that around for a nice loop.
