As of early September, the half of the trail closest to the road is closed.

Lovely walk. Quiet. Saw a deer! Part of the trail (between the Grinnell parking lot and Many Glacier Hotel) is closed for construction (they're making it wheelchair friendly!), so it was necessary to walk that bit on the main road (10 min). Note: I added 1-2mi to see Josephine Lake.

Nice little hike around the lake with great views of the mountains and hotel. The trail is natural until you get closer to the hotel then it’s more of a paved walking pathway.

Quick walk. Very small crowd because Many Glacier is pretty small. Beautiful. Good hike for kids.

lovely easy trail, we saw a moose in the creek. Met several people on the trail, it's busy.

Great, easy after-dinner hike. Not for hardcore outdoor enthusiasts or those seeking solitude, but absolutely beautiful.

Used this trail to go up to Lake Josephine and then back too. It was beautiful! Overall hike (including the lake) was prob 6 miles. It was beautiful and fairly flat. There was a pretty marked up trail. Personally didn’t, but people in front saw a grizzly cub.

Loved this easy trail... a bit rainy but got some awesome shots of the lake. Nice and uncrowded early start. Beargrass all over and a rainbow.

Easy loop circling Swiftcurrent Lake. Great views across the lake to the surrounding mountains. I saw a black bear while hiking this trail, and many of the trails in the park's Many Glacier area have been closed recently due to bear activity. Overall, a nice way to spend an hour or so.

We loved this trail! We were there in June 2018 for a wedding. Saw one grizzly bear and a moose. We also passed a few people who said they had seen two more bears in the distance. Quick, easy loop with beautiful views.

Very easy and well maintained hike. Beaver lodge can be found (it's by where the stream to the west enters the lake) and great views of the mountains. No hills and very easy walk.

A pleasant hike around a beautiful lake that features a nice well maintained woodland trail, with bridges and natural areas. The moose swimming in the lake was a nice treat.

Very scenic and easy trail right along the lake. I highly recommend it for families with kids or people looking for an easy hike. I would also recommend stopping in at Many Glacier Hotel for snacks and drinks in the lounge, which is right along the way.

pretty decent hike. started from many glacier picnic area and hiked 1.7 miles to many glacier hotel. (would have been 2.5 miles all the way back to the start point). what I liked about this hike was that you got too see some pretty cool things for an easy short hike. the lake is beautiful at almost any time of day, and the forest around it is thick and green. the rivers feeding the lake are also offer some cool views that were my personal favorite. As far as wildlife goes I didn't see any, I heard a bull moose but he never showed himself. With a steady elevation and short distance this is a good hike to start your day with, end your day with, or even start with as u connect to trails to jesphine lake and the grinell lakes

Since the park was mostly closed to us (it was late June & our motorhome is 2 ft. too long to go almost anywhere) we ended up hiking here. I was disappointed at first, since I really wanted to do the Grinnell Glacier Trail (closed...too early in the season). But only 15 minutes in we spotted a young bull moose in the lake by the shore. He rushed us a bit as he came out of the lake...it was amazing! Then we continued and saw some Pica's. Up on the ridge beyond the lodge we spotted a Big Horn Sheep. It started to drizzle a bit and as we headed back to the camper via the loop we encountered a female moose eating in a marsh about 5 ft from the trail. Over all it made up for all of the other disappointments.
