Beautiful views of Sunlight Peak on the way up, and a nice look into the Crazies from the top, with some sweeping views to the west towards the Bridgers. Tons of wildflowers. Mountain goats and bears in the area as well. You can continue past Sunlight Lake several miles down to the Sweetgrass Trail, which will take you into the heart of the Crazies., with towering mountains on either side of you.

Passed along this trail while doing a larger loop in the Crazy Mountains. It's over 2,000 feet of elevation gain in less than 4 miles to get to the lake, so a somewhat demanding hike. The trail gets rockier the higher up you go.
