First two miles were pretty burnt. From trailhead to meadow creek trail was pretty difficult to find the further back you got. Past there and almost all the way to bass creek drainage was close to impossible to find, with lots of bushwhacking and climbing over logs. Very pretty place, but lots of signs of bear and moose.

The higher you go the more flooded out trail you will see. We gave up keeping our boots dry after a bit...fun two days coming over from Bass creek drainage would give the trail a 3 stars if all your doing is day hiking it and want to put in less time than it takes to get to the lake over the ridge from Bass but more if you want to go further. The first part zig zags logging roads quite a bit.

Great trail, lots of shade and sunny areas. Trail starts out pretty easy and gets more inclined along the ridge with switchbacks. Nice views and the hike along the water is wonderful...this all coming from a couple novice hikers!

First to Review

Starts off by the rushing creek, cool temp in the forest and lush. Then turns into a steeper series of switchbacks with some vista views after a bit of a climb. Didn't do the full 5 miles, but there was still plenty to see!
